Hey, does anyone know anything about those carbon fibre air filter things? and if it is worth getting one? And i was also wondering, with drop in panel filters do you still get the open pod sort of sound? I mainly want the sound but i dont like losing performance.. <_< |

carbon airfilter is purely for looks and has no performance over any other filter, the drop in filter will give u the sound and lil power gain, nothing spectacular tho, best option ifu wanna spend money is the arc ir chamber, around 270 euro!!!! |

Carbon airboxes are ubes, and are better than stock ones usually, just generally work best if set up with a cold air feed from the front bumper |

thats not an air box. thats a cone filter dirt cover. only this that does is keep the air filter cleaner for longer. so no its not worh getting. |

Needs to Try Harder
|
It's the same as a BMC CDA. It deflects heat from the engine bay thus preventing getting heat soak into the inlet. It has a cold air feed into it- and will reduce intake temps- thus benefitting the fuel air mix...it doesn't keep the air filter 'cleaner'... can't say if it's any better than the stock air box with a better filter than the standard paper one...some people say they are....but hey I got an ARC super intake chamber...what do I know... im just a bling 'HO' |

that will be no different to a standard cone filter (k and n style) with a cold air feed. its not worth the money in any shape or form. and it doesn protect it that much. pipes are to shot to keep it away from the engine ehough and carbon fiber is a good heat conductor. i know what its meant to do but it doesnt to it any better than the nrom air box. just get a cone with a cold air feed and alu heat shield. |
