find out exactly where the squeak is coming from on the door panel, remove the panel and stick a 1mm thick double sided tape and that should stop the noise, as for the dash... that might be a bit hard to reach into the noise... but if you can do the same for the dash by putting something to stop the noise then great otherwise as you mention, engine noise or music will cover it up.... |

I have loads of sqeaks and rattles, I think it's just a given thing you have to put up with as all of these cars are pretty old now and things like this develop over time. BZ-G's method is good though and one I used on two particularly annoying bits of trim.

My probematic bits were the centre console surround (around the stereo/heater buttons etc) and the matching bit of trim on the right side of the steering wheel with the electric mirror buttons on. I just did what BZ-G said, pulled each of them off, placed some bits of quick thick double sided tape around the inside edges where it meets the dash and clipped them back in. Pretty much silent now. But my door cards, glovebox and sunroof rattle and squeak too  |

it's easy to take off the door panel... just remove the screw in the handle area to access more screws ( i think 2 more) and one screw/clip (i think) on the left top corner of the door panel near the side mirror, then the rest are plastic clips which are about 4 of them then slide the panel up to unclip the top of the window edge... |

note: hitting where you think the squeak is coming from works note: hitting where you think the squeak is coming from sometimes breaks expensive parts lol |

True Peter but as I found out that's only a temporary solution and usually makes the squeaks angrier so they come back even louder! |

I have to agree. Have resorted to this a couple times. Think its just some thing that happens over time reali. You can also go round and tighten the screws just in case |

My car is a bit noisy from the crap tyres I have (which I will piss off when I get my new mags) and the aftermarket exhaust. Inside the car, the only real problem I have is a squeacking/creacking glovebox lid which is annoying on anything but smooth roads. I sometimes leave it open and then it doesn't squeak. I sprayed some silicone spray on the latch, but that didn't make much difference. I also notice the sqeack when coming out of driveways at an angle so I think body rigidity has some impact as well as rough roads. Is this a common complaint wiht the AE111's? |

not sure about squeeky stuff... but the glove box must be from the plastic rubbing against each other.... so maybe some fabric stuff tape will prevent the plastic rubbing... |

I managed to pretty much (except for really rough roads) sort out my squeaky glovebox lid. I found a thin sheet of rubber, cut out 3 small strips and used double sided tape to stick them on the inside surface near the latch and along each corner. |

My driver and passenger door panels squeak or rattle loads when the window is down , ive come to understand that this happens because the doors are "frameless" ? anyway i really need all the help i can to correct this , its not sexy trying to impress ur female passenger when ur door rattles like that after letting her in.

it could be the plastic clips in the door frames which are missing to cause the rattle... |

One simple solution....... Remove all trim As long as you have a seat and steering wheel the rest isnt required :p |

from the top of my head.... there's a screw in the handle to close the door, a another screw in the handle to open the door and the rest are just plastic clips... there's about 3 clips on the bottom, 2 on either side of the door panel and all you do is pop up trim off from the bottom with a bit of force and then you will hear the clips pop out.. and then slide the door panel up to clear the long groove near the place where the window goes up and down.... oh i don't have pics of the area since i'm not near my car... only try to think where and how many from my experience....
