If it is just a rip in the material just get someone who's half-decent with a needle to fix it up for you |

Halfords have repair kits for fabrics and for fabrics and for vynals. (seats and dash) have a look not sure on price or how to do it though but I'm sure there will be a full instruction thing in it. |

As said, if material, surely would be far more cost effective to sort it yourself/with the help of someone good at sewing/stitching etc |

Needs to Try Harder
|
Those repair kits are good for the likes of ciggy burns etc...., but if you have two tears going to run in to one big tear they'll never fix it properly.....you need some closely matched material that you can insert underneath the tear (any spare material that can be cut off the underneath of the rear seat...)...and wondaweb material .... iron it using a damp cloth, then use one of those repair kits to blend it in...... I've done this before...didn't do to badly either.. |

Have a similar problem, not a a tear though!! Have a set of recaros and the material on the edge of the drivers seat is starting to wear thin over about a 3 inch area. Any suggestions for repairs for this or should I just start savin now for a retrim for when it does eventually burst open? Its in a fairly obvious area so not sure if could use method mentioned above to get good quality finish.

Is it just the fabric that is torn, or is the foam worm also?? There is a place in leicester that sell the bolsters (foam) aswell as the recaro cloth. I need to do mine aswell, because im tired of hovering the foam bits up The place also advertises on ebay uk |

Foam is in good condition, just the black material is wearing thin over it from wear when gettin in and out of the seat. Can kinda see through the material. Think might have to get some of that material to match it and patch over it somehow!!
