Ive heard off storys with the AE111's ecu ignoring any changes made by a piggy back after a while. Is this true??? Would like to get a emanage ultimate at some stage.

depends what your trying todo...

I dont think a emanage ultimate is to bad... but it depends what you want from it, and if you spend the $$ for a proper tune. Thinks like apexi SAFC will have very little effect on the ecu.

The rumours are true for Apexi AFC Neo and as AceSniper said the SAFC...

Greddy E-Manage and Ultimate you will need the optional wiring harness I think its the Ignition Wiring Harness and another one? To avoid the factory ECU rejecting your Piggyback's signals. :)

havent played with a E-Manage but they seam like one of the best piggybacks, im not sure about e-manage but when you goto WOT(100% throttle) the ecu goes into closed loop... and reads a pre set map stored on the ecu and rejects input signals to adjust settings asides from maybe eng temp an knock

ya i think ill just get megasquirt of vems. Thanks

look into vems, I useone of there wideband units... and it has soo many options for such a small unit

I have a wideband already(techedge) But i have being looking at vems for quiet a while now. If i could find a good stock ae111 engine ignition map then i can tune the rest on the road. VEMS, OMEX ecu's are good iswell.

I can give you some ignition maps are no real issue, but it does depends on your load/rpm mapping... as I could give you sum to get started with then slightly adjust for your engine/fuel

It doesn't matter about the load/ rpm axis, just need to know where when and how much max advance is at. i can interpolate the rest. Is it the stock map you have, if it is it would a great help.
