dont change to a 6speed. will do nothing for you but make your arm sore. all you will get from it it is you will have to change gear more often..

is the gearbox off a 4afe or a 4age? if so it will fit, but you need to mod your shifter unit, and use the speed left mount (with a little bit of work)

There isn't any advantage changing from the C56 5spd to the C160 6spd ;)

Stick with the 5spd mate :)

Hello,

I am just new here and I saw this discussion. I drove all 3 of the gearboxes on my 20v Blacktop.

(C52 4AFE, C56 20v and now I drive the C160 LSD from Japan NOT the G6R box!!)

I can tell you it is super!!! It's worth of money!

There is a differnece between the G6 box and my Japaneese C160. It is shorter than the G6R box!

depends what your doing with your car... c56 will be quicker in drag racing... and hold upto the clutch drops better,
c160 will prolly be better on the track as you can keep in your powerband better on corners... an wont be put under the kinda stress that will brake it

on the street... depends what you like
