lads just finished off putting the engine into me levin today and brought it up the road for a spin and it nearly threw me over the ditch. when i put it back up on the lift i noticed the front right lower arm of the super strut was falling out of it, deffo an inch of play in it whats the story with replacing these can they inly be bought main dealer and if so how much cheers marc |

parts for superstrut are few & far between, best bet is 2 go 2 toyota and qet a quote, it aint gonna b cheap!!!! |

your looking around 250euro marc if it the one with the 3 ball joints on it....was talking to someone who paid......wait for it............500euro for a second hand one ah ha ha ha ah ah ha!! from a jap dealer in dublin so be careful and go to main dealer!!! |

Might be best if you're superstrut dies UNLESS you really want Superstrut convert it to the simple aka Macpherson strut arrangement to make life easier

If it's the lower control arm (3 ball joints) expect 180+ vat. main dealer is the cheapest and best you'll fit it in no time |

yeah but isnt it quite a big job changing from super strut to macpherson and quite costly? o well thats what my mechanic told me.. just wondering would it be cheaper to convert to mcpherson and getting after market suspension or buying an after market superstrut suspension eg: like the TRD suskit one? |

It might cost more initially but in the end, its much easier to get Suspension and you don't have the continous pain of Superstrut related issues... Thats what I think anyway hehehe |
