in theory the 6 speed should be the better 'box as it gives you more options BUT in my opinion - i have used both the 5 and 6 speed boxes and i would say that the 5 speed would be the better box - the difference between the 5-6 speed box in a straight race is about half a second - and thats attributed to having to change gears more often and less speed attained in each gear you go through in my 5 speed i can do 145kmh in 3rd gear where as a friend of mine in his BZR 6 speed can only do 125-130kmh - and he has to change into 4th before i even have to think about it so to sum it up - if you have the 5 speed box keep it as it can hold its own against the 6 speed box - the only time i can think of where the 6 speed box would have a good advantage would be on a tight and twisty track - where the 5 speed might get stuck in a low RPM gear and the 6 speed might have the perfect gearing for it its really up to user preference really

I'd take the 5 speed purely because it's stronger. |

and dont forget the 5 speed is more practical when driving normaly. ie. starting and stopping. -- less gear changes, and thats a pain in these cars as it is anyway cos 1st gear is so short |
