One thing, don't force it into gear. Try putting it back in first and maybe into neutral for a bit and trying again, forcing it in is only going to do more damage. :( |

Where abouts can you check the gearbox oil btw? Do you have to have the car on a ramp? |

You can't really check it as such, you just need to change it at the correct intervals. It's not that hard to do, a bit fiddly. You might need to remove your battery. |

You won't get a pic of it from the engine bay without removing stuff, you'd need a pic of under the car. And there's no dipstick or anything, there's a drain plug and a fill plug. The oil level should be in line with the bottom of the fill plug...I.E as much as you can fill it without it dripping out again. |

for some reason these c160 just dont like heavy duty clutches... seems like a few people are having that problem your case may not be exacly the same as mine, but there are a few possibilities.. 3 things you need to check when it was being installed when the clutch was being installed, was the spline alligned properly? if it wasn't and it was forced in, then the clutch disc may be bent, and causes it not to release properly.. like clutch disc may be touching the flywheel or pressure plate when it was released was the spline greased when it was installed? new release bearing? in my case i suspected that it was installation error at first and just changed the clutch back to standard.. changed master and slave cyl also for in case even after all that i could still feel a slight bit of notchyness with the stock clutch and brand new master and slave cyl... it wasn't obvious at all, i'm just fussy so i went and got an Earls braided clutch line, and now its perfect you might want to try getting a braided clutch line before you pull the box apart to check the clutch... let me know if you need the braided line, i can check with the supplier for you |

ya i realised you can't really get that off the shelf... i had to pull mine out, got the measurement, and the workshop got it custom made with earl's braided line and earls fittings, fits beautifully, shift feels much better
