Is it worth sourcing the stock LSD for a BZG, or buying the aftermarket one? Remembering not all AE111s come with one.... or am I incorrect? |

for street the stock ones are all good, expensive clutch type ones are very tight an if you want a quiet/easy to drive car... then its not for you |

Not all 4age's/Levin's came with an LSD. Although i have one and it a BZ-G. 'A' at the end of the transmition code no LSD, 'C' at the end, LSD equiped, or so i believe. |

yahoo japan catalogue: http://autos.yahoo.co.jp/ncar/catalog/soub...F004/M004/G005/ http://autos.yahoo.co.jp/ncar/catalog/soub...F004/M001/G003/ no lsd for standard BZG with 5/6 spd box http://autos.yahoo.co.jp/ncar/catalog/soub...F004/M001/G001/ lsd for BZG with super strut 5 spd box http://autos.yahoo.co.jp/ncar/catalog/soub...F004/M001/G005/ lsd for BZV so pretty much any manual ae111 with superstrut will come equipped with LSD, if mcpherson strut then it doesnt have LSD from factory other japanese references http://www2.nsknet.or.jp/~kaiki/car/ http://www4.plala.or.jp/shiden-kai/car/AE111.html both say that LSD only comes with superstrut equipped cars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL-LS-GibHg&feature=related the video catalogue did mention LSD, also mentioned Superstrut... doesnt mean that they're both standard across all models i do agree though that the stock LSD gives slightly sharper cornering, which is quite adequate for daily use, occasional sprited drives in the twisties, and weekend track days. |

I agree to the above apart from not all superstrut came with LSD.... afew did it was an added option.... you can tell by the firewall code if it came with a lsd factory, and all the 6speeds in the BZR have them, while some 6speeds in the 20v wagons dont |
