Ok lads, got a bigish problem with the old sunroof, and wondering if anyone has had a go at them? Have ended up taping up the sunroof with black electrical tape for now, to keep the water out. Basicly i think the rubber seals went on it, not to bad, but the motor for the sunroof is dead too :( Anyone had a stab at droping the roof lining in one before? any hints & tips? Thanks, Paul |

Hey Paul ![]() Having dealt with sunroof before, how bad is the leakage? and do you see rust forming anywhere around the area of the sunroof? Drop a line to a sunroof specialist if you want to fix it Otherwise plan to plug the hole up hahaha

i've emailed you already, so just post any questions later up here... if you don't want the sunroof then yeah you can remove it and put a panel like me but you need some one to fabricate it since our roof isn't dead flat and needs to make some curves... also i used silicone to seal up any leaks too with the panel just in case... |

Theres no rust, just water stains on the roof card now :| Hoping that i can get the stains out of that afterwards. need to strip out the motor and have a look at it, it is getting voltage some of the time, so it could be just a bad connection on it, and the roof mightnt be closed fully. Got a quote off a fairly good mechanic, for 1k euros to fix it including labour and parts. Even he told me to have a go fixing it myself lol. to top it off i think my superstrut is on the way out :| |

also check the water piping, the pipe which extracts the water out, that might be leaking so just tighten the pipe up with a hose clip.... |
