well over here the nz new cars with 4afe have a c52, the imports with 4afe have c50... not sure how they differ there all c series box's so internally they are the same apart from ratio changes (50,52,56) But depending on what engine they are behind the final drive also changes, so the 4afe gearbox thats a c50/c52 may have the same ratios (rpm space between gears) but it will rev lower at any set speed... so will do a higher speed at X000rpm but take longer to get there. the c series gearboxes don't have any code on them, if you look at the firewall build of the car its in it will tell you what came factory Edited by AceSniper, Aug 2 2008, 01:48 PM.

aka Hyper Rev 4...
|
the 3.? or 4.? are the final gear ratio's so our C56's will have slightly better gear ratios and bit closer... where when the final gear is 3. somthing, then there top speed is higher but they will never get to that top speed.... also they are bit more economical since the have lower rpm on the motorway going at 100km/h... |
