hi guys its me again, first of all, this forum is very helpful, where i live in antigua levins are populor yes but much men don't know about them, so tel me where is the best shifting point to gain performance? i sometimes get it conect good that the exhaust like gives a pop or sometimes lil flames because i have on an exhaust tip but am still runing the bone stock exhaust, so i know the bz-r redlines at 8000 rpm and lift clicks in at 4000 rpm, but is there a point i can shift to get performance?

yes and no... shift at 8000rpm or whatever you're comfortable with... obviously if you shift at 8000rpm you'll be faster than the ones shifting at 7000rpm on straight, on track then it depends on your experience to tell u when to shift, but you're not getting any "extra" performance by doing that since anyone can do the same and the backfire.. ya it's from timing overlap, extra fuel blew into the exhaust, and retarded timing when throttle is released, it's got more to do with tune than shift point.. certainly has nothing to do with extra performance.. sounds cool i know but it just means your car may need a tune |

Something around 7-7800 would be ideal.. but most of the times depends on the car mods etc. |

It depends of the car's mods lad. e.g I shift my car till 8500rpm-8600rpm due to Mine's ECU..
