Im seeking to replace the 1996/polypropelene SRS Airbag steering wheel with a three spoke leather type. Has anyone had sucess doing this? (ie BZ-G type changed to the BZ-R style wheel) Any idea if the visually similar Toyota Celica 2000 steering wheel would be compatible? The Airbags I assume vary with the design of the wheel - is there an adapter or clip that can be purchased for the swap over? Is this a Yay or Nay idea??? as I prefer to retain the airbag function. Or is it best to perhaps cough up $$$ for TRD type? (My Levin got broken into, and the intruder was aprenhended just after he tried cutting through a wheel brace lock, damaging the steering wheel :( ) |

i changed my 97 g6 corolla wheel for the 3 spoke leather wheel (bzr, altezza, celica t sport etc), straight swap didn't even occur to me there would be an issue, 10 minute job and it changes the interior |
