Following the overhaul of my blacktop engine i found that there are excessive amounts of water coming out the exhaust after reving to about 3500rpm , theres also some white smoke , assume that the piston rings are fine , what else could be causing the smoke and what would cause the water ? Thanks. ![]() the black in there was just carbon that developed in the exhaust pipe , but the water is clean. |

if your car is putting out loads of white smoke and your losing coolant. The cylinder head gasket is most likely gone. Could be cracked or buckled but very rare on the ae111 to go. But u have rebuilt the engine so maybe somethin there. As for the water as the exhaust i get tat to its just the condensation turnin into water in the system. I see brand new cars spittin out water no worries there |

cars that sit for ages can throw heaps of wate out fo teh exhaust when i was car shopping i got the car sales guy to start up a honda prelude it had been sitting for 6 months and only started up and warmed up once a week or so so i gave it a good hard rev to about 4500rpm and totally soaked the sales rep who was flittering around the boot spoiler at the time was hilarious but if you are worried its loosing coolant first thing id check is the ehad gasket - but like my story it may just be condensation build up from sitting for a long time? |
