hi again ..i have a aftermarket manifold and a trd catback soon to be a decat aswell... it works fine and is very quiet..but seen as its not on the road and never will i was thinking of doing away with the decat and catback and going out the side? taking it from the end of my manifold around the subframe area and going out the side from there..? i know it would be crazy loud..but even if i was to put in a small mid box in and then out the side? my main reason was even tho its a trd catback its still quite bulky and heavy! also i was thinking it might increase power..but i'm sure i could also lose power too? i have looked into it on the net but all i can find is info on the lenght of the different stages of the manifold .. just wondering if someone has any info that could help me out? thanks

should run better pending on pipe size its not that loud, but putting it out the side makes problems like scraping/hitting the pipe since it cant sit up under the chassis Also the heat will cause problems with underseal |

i was thinking of just stopping it where the cat should be ..but true about the hear...i'd sort out some kind of shield, the final pipe size is about 60+mm? also intend splicing a loom from a emanage blue i had on my silvia, but will be a month or so by the time its on. i'm just gonna do it for a quick run and see what it go's like! |
