airbag ecu on 97 bzr levin

my airbag ecu is blown....does any one no if i can just fit it straight in if i get another one or do i have to get it fitted in????

they just plug in, make sure you disconnect the battery before touching any airbag things, When ever a airbag goes off the module has to be replaced also.

AceSniper i have done tat but the light is staying on still any idea how to reset it????

how do you know its blown? reason i ask is i have airbag light on dash.
did you get it diagnosed by Toyota and if so can i ask how much?
yeah i got it diagnosed in toyota they told me it was blown.. they easily go from jump startin the car..... as for price they never said they done at as a favour for my da

not sure hot to clear codes on the airbag ecu sorry, toyota should have the info though or hunt on the net. But if you changed ecu it shouldn't be pulling codes/light

Are you sure the airbag/clock spring is un damaged?
ye i got it diagnosed in toyota they told me was the airbag ecu gone

where abouts is the airbag ECU located? I have an airbag problem and AceSniper thinks to change ECU first. Found one online but not even sure where it's located in the car haha

should be under center console normally...

if you reset it does the light come back on? and the diagnostics doesn't respond eh

nope, problem is the light doesn't come on at all, but doesn't seem to be a blown LED cos im sure i swapped the door LED with it and it still wouldnt work, will have to look at it it again when i get it back from Gregan Bros
