clutch shudder

jus replaced my clutch 2 weeks ago and it was fine untill yesterday it developed a shudder like shake when i pull away in first gear.. when i went back to the garage t tell them they told me not to worry it will work itself out.. Am i being had? or will it go away anyone else have this problem? :idk:

sounds like a problem to me... is it a std organic disc?

aint got a clue mate i just left it in the hands of the garage and they said they put a reconditioned clutch into it

Thats not good words man... as it will never be like new...
and new std is cheap... they use same clutch kit as a 4afe/7afe that would have been sold new in your area.


Could be warped pressure plate, damaged clutch plate (if they didnt align it right) Could be a number of things... But since I cant try/feel it cant say.

Bring it into another workshop or a clutch specialist and just get them to try it out and feel it for there opinion.. It could be hard to know with out taking it all back out... but see what others say... and throw up a post

maybe the old flywheel wasnt machined when they put in the new clutch?

yeah i think best bet is to bring it t another garage get it checked out see wat they say, nice one fellows ill let ya's no how i get on :cheers:

i had slight judder on my celica clutch when pulling away in first gear , i just lived with it til i sold the car , was something to do with the clutch plate i think

bearing has no effect on engaged clutch
