![]() circled in red are the parts/screws you must remove before removing the door trim, there a two more screws hidden behind the arm rest. EDIT: there is one more screw at the bottom of the side pocket in the arm rest ![]() once they have been removed, pop the door handle out, this is done by sliding it forward towards the engine bay and pulling towards you. ![]() the door trim is still held in place by a couple of pegs, start near the speaker mesh and use adequate force to pop them off, becareful though, you can cause the lower half of the door trim to crack around the speaker mesh if excessive force is used. ![]() now that bottom half of the trim is free, with both hands have a firm hold on the trim preferably around the midline using the arm rest as a guide and lift upwards. this shouldn't require much force, if you're finding it difficult, you may have forgotten to remove the rubber backing/tweeter housing adjacent the to mirror. now heres the tricky part, the power window adapter/central locking and lock arms are still attached to the door trim. i suggest you find something/someone who can hold the door trim while you disconnect the two, if can be done by one person but somewhat difficult. the lock arms are held in by two clips, they can be removed with a flathead head screwdriver by flicking them anti-clockwise. in the picture the one has been unhooked while one remains attached ![]() next comes the power window/central locking adapter, you won't be able to see it when looking down the trim but is simply removed by pressing on the tab at the bottom and pulling. the adapter is attached to the door in the same orientation as seen in the picture ![]() once that has been removed the trim is free, if you happen to have tweeters then i suggest you disconnect them. when reattaching the door trim, just start from the end of this tut and go back to the start Edited by n2o, Apr 29 2009, 05:04 AM.
