Ok so the box is kinda rebuilt and I didn't get around to taken as many pics of parts as planed, but here's some more... I have a std ratio c56 to do soon so if there is anything anyone wants to see just ask. Pic of the gears and diff in place standing in the bellhousing. Left input shaft Right output shaft the gear on its own is for reverse Syncro you can see on the left top is 4th ![]() Side angle Right side lowest gear is 1st then syncro above it, straight cut gear above that for reverse and above that is 2nd syncro little hard to tell as its silver rather than the normal brass... Toyota upgraded new 2nd syncros. Also note the the brown magnetite just above the right side bolt hole ![]() Inside the main housing Left side is the bearing surface for the diff, spring hanging out is the old left side axle seal the hole above it runs between the insert and seal to help oil the bearing The two black steel channels are to pickup oil and feed it down to the 5th gear housing. ![]() Main housing on and shafts out the end... this is were 5th gear lives, the round metal bit sticking out on the right side is one of the oil channels The selector rod sticking out with the hole is were 5th selector fork bolts on. ![]() Edited by AceSniper, Aug 27 2009, 04:57 AM.

2nd gear syncro Bottom Brass one is what was in there std c56?? One above is the new item new material(steel looking) and upgraded ceramics? ![]() ![]() And the old 4th syncro not to bad wear wise 1st/4th and 5th are all brass no fancy ceramic, the older c52 box's had syncros like this for 2/3 also and they wore quickly to cause crunching

check my gear ratio post you will find the route6 ones there, dont think its any longer made.... choices for non std c series gearset's are getting slim. I if I was wanting lower gearing and had to go buy something I think a lsd c56 with a lower ratio final drive to bring everything down so the higher gears are more useful 0-200km |
