Key/Door Chime

I managed to disconnect the key chime as it was doing my head in every time I opened the door.

Its easy to do. Remove the lower cover on the steering column.

There are two plugs connected to the ignition barrel. You unplug the small plug that is just behind the much bigger plug.

No more moronic chime when you open the door as if you would forget to take the keys with you! ^o)

mine just stopped working!! i actually prefer it when it chimes as you know then that the door is not shut properly before driving off!!

is there a fuse for the chimer?

there is a fuse, look at the fuse box in the engine bay.
its teh size 15 ones. check if its blown, i did that yesterday
trying to install my radio
