Hi guys, I was wonder if anyone has installed a pod filter on their car with stainless steal or aluminium pipping? If yes would you kindly upload any pictures + information you have so i could get some idea's on where to run the pipe? Atm, I'm thinking of setting up the pod filter so it sits behind the bumper or either running the pipe down into the gaurd so it sits there hidden away from the coppers but as you know, theres alot of fiddling around to do since im setting up from scratch. IF ANYONE HAS MEASUREMENTS OR A TENPLATE OF THEIR WORK PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP. Thankyou! |

I am looking at getting some custom pipes made from Powerflow which will reach out the bonnet through a scooby scoop, with socks to fit over the ends. This will be for sunny days only though, obviously!!! Probably not any power gains like this, but will look and sound the nuts! |

Here is a photo (I hope it will help you) and the way I did this pipes. For the dimensions, just measure the diameter of the circle on the airbox. There is one bracket on the pipe,on the middle. You will see a lot of difference in hp mate!! ![]()

Hi guys I currently hav a pod filter sitting in my engine bay sucking up hot engine bay air :( What I want to do is relocate it to the compartment infront of the left tyre; where that circulation air box thing normaly is. I've seen a few ppl on here who have done it. My question is, is it legal to widden the whole that goes down to it in NZ? and if so by how much? Cheers |

Lol very true! I will see how much I want to widden it by, shouldnt be too much. The only problem is that my cars not a very friendly colour to go over with some spray paint afterwards; not that it would really matter tho. |

Area![]() Metal removed ![]() piece of rubber so pipe fits snug ![]() Finished product. ![]() refer to this thread for more info. Never had a problem for wofs. There is no way they know you have modified the hole, just clean it up with a file. The wof man wont know how big the hole was b4. |
