aka Hyper Rev 4...

all i know is that they are non programmable.... which means, you list all the parts on you car which affects the performance levels, and pass the info to Mine's, then they set it up at their shop and send it to the buyer already programmed and locked, so just remove the old ecu to the new one and that's it... many non programmable ecu's are like this but some don't need the list of performance mods... they just tweak the ecu bit better than standard ecu... |

yea as said... if your doing basic mods that you wont need a standalown for its a good little upgrade, removes speed limiter, may bump rev limiter, better fuel/advance tables |

the only full programmable ecu that is available for our cars are motec, autronic, freedom, f-con v pro... or otherwise piggy back ecu..... |

better off with something tuned for your mods, your local fuel and local conditions |

i'm using one atm.. but since i dun have experience on toms and sard ECUs i won't give much comments the previous owner of the one i bought off from managed to rev up to 9.5krpm with this ECU (with head work, hardout mods etc) maybe it can also adjust or sth?? dunno but i only managed to pull to 8.5krpm with intake + exhaust mods (just gotta love the sound, amazing) i can definitely see some improvement b4 and after, and fuel consumption didn't change much...still lasts around 600km mark a tank of fuel if u couldn't be bothered doing the dyno tuning (time consuming process + depends on the tuner) maybe these kinda pre-tuned ECU are more suited ALSO I CAN USE MY A/C TOO..lol |

im using a Tom's ecu at the minute and it definitely gave me an improvement in power! might be selling it sometime down the line if i ever manage to get an e manage! im using the Tom's with my new cams still but want to use a programmable ecu to get it tuned perfectly! |

none of these are programmable, or discontinued, and even if you can find one u'll have difficulties finding someone to tune it go with e-manage, if ur planning to get cams then e-manage ultimate, since it lets you disable ur rev limiter or haltech, motec if u've got the cash and time |

does the ultimate allow for a rev set? i know the blue doesn't although you can use the v-tec function to set the rev limit instead, if who ever is mapping knows what their doing. motec is a whole new story, very pricey, but fantastic quality from what i've heard. |
