hks racing headers hitting x-member

hey all.. got them put on and slight problem..
it seems once heated up(driven for a few mins) one of the flanges (4>1 peice) touchs the x-member, so after 5 mins of driving i got massive vibration through the car, we tried a few things at brads workshop today, but it came down to the following, but cannot be done today coz they need the car for at least a day to test what they've done so it doesnt hit..they are..
1) raise the engine mounts so the exhaust is raised..
2)if that fails then; heat up x-member and try to re mould
or 3) instead of 1) get all new engine mounts, because they may be worn, even tho there is no sight of damage, over time they drop and that could fix the issue..if all that fails..then.. HKS fail! >_<
heres an under shot, see the x-member and where the pipe goes over it..u cant see the flange on the other side but thats were its hitting..

i also put forward that maybe machining the bottom edge of the flange..
any1 else think they have a solution? =] as im pretty sure someone may have eccountered the same problem??

how about playing around with the exhaust mount which is attached to the x-member... like bend it a bit or place some washers to raise the exhaust?

also try loosening the bolts on the headers side... put a bit of force (by hand) so that you push the headers a but upwards, then tighten the bolts back up again... simply put, bolting up the headers a bit higher since there might be a bit of movement in the headers holes for the bolts...

Perhaps just remove the flange all together and replace it with a section of pipe?

bzg we did try to play aroudn with the exhaust mount :(
petrolhead the thing with that flange is it has some wierd flexi bit in it so cant make it one piece :( i thoguht of that too b4 my mech reminded me its the flex part =(

bzg u recon lowering the x-member will work? as in add a few washers? gunna lift the rear engine mount up but if that dont work then prob adding a few washers to the x member?

don't alter the x-member... that's probably the worst thing you want to do to the car as that's one of the most important part of the car to support the engine, steering and suspension... so i would recommend not to alter or touch the x-member...
but certainly play around with the exhaust mount...
what i was trying to say about the headers is to re-mount it... like loosening the bolts on the headers and re-adjust the bolts on the headers to the engine and the 4-2 section of the headers... since there maybe some slack that you can move, even couple of mm's might still be better than nothing...
