i thought about pvc too, but i wasn't sure if it will stand up to the heat without warpping. the aluminium was 100nzd, but that was a massive 1.2x2.4m sheet. i only really needed 60cmx60cm. the flexi with the mouth was $50nzd. thats how much the material costed. |

BZR4AGE, you hose setup is okay coz it allows air to flow in... If you doing like mine then the hose actually suck the air in... and water if it's raining or flooding... http://s15.zetaboards.com/AE111_Forum/topic/6613170/1/ |

Hey, Been a while since I posted anything, been doing a few things to my car - post to follow soon. I was just wondering if an ARC intake chamber would be worth while getting? anyone have one? what do you think? Ill probably be running with with the standard air-box with tom's filter in air-box. Thanks for the advice. |

I noticed a difference in high end power and a little less in low down tourqe, I would buy another if one came up, I did have the ARC intake box though as well as the chamber Also check the pinned topic on this

For it's price....I'd say not, I test drove a Levin with an ARC Induction Chamber and didn't notice anything special |

Think it did, he was running it with an Apexi cone filter in the engine bay so heat soak could have accounted for some of the power loss. |

Amazing
|
i just got this both chamber and filter housing, now is the filter housing supposed to just fit ontop of the bottom half of the standard airbox or do you just leave it how it is, cos in that case wouldn't it just suck in hot air ? its snowing and to cold to go outside and check/fiddle around with it anymore only managed to fit the intake chamber.. which looks sweet !! |

No you can't use the existing bottom half filter box, and Yes, it sucks in all the hot air, so the filter box is actually poorly designed compared with other ARC filter boxes, hence why I made the heatshield. |

Amazing

ye so im gonna run the standard box then, as i can get much better air feed and the arc filter aint gonna be better than the apexi one by much if any, and still gonna make up one of your heatshields, thanks for the diagram |

does anyone know where to get the replacement filters for the ae111 ARC induction box? I've searched the web but nothing is giving me an exact answer, all i know is that you can get k&n filters and they're recommended by ARC. Anything else? I'm in Australia btw, cheers, chris |

I couldn't find one either. I even emailed ARC but got no reply since then they went bust so I'm guessing they still won't reply. I would just use a k&n filter if they do one |

Get in touch with k&n and give them the dimensions and they might be able to help |
