How can you do 05.93" 0-100???? Have you adjusted your RSM properly? Also do you have an aftermarket ECU?? (8658rpm?? I have a mine's ecu, and I am not sure if I can go so far..)

I have an auto ecu so i recon thats why it rev's out to that
And ya 5.93 sounds way 2 good to be true, i had my own doubts about it but my mate has a lancer GSR 1.8turbo and he done a 0-100 beside me and i was ahead of him!

5.93 is mad mad mad quick lad... gsr's arent particularly quick either... ya'd actually wanna be ahead of it anyways.. what mods have you other than the ecu?

I know its a mad quick time, an id love to do a 1/4mine to check it for sure but the RSM seems to be reading correctly. Ya the GSR's arent masive fast but i was just saying that his RSM was readin roughly what mine was!

Apexi power flow, Apexi cat back, decat, plugs n leads, good cold air intake and heat shield, air con removed...and toyo proxes - they really help with stopping wheel spin

Yeah I think that seems a little odd too. You should take up drag racing!

dont think ill post speed might be nawty :)

But heirs some properly calibrated rpm off the crank angle sensor/ecu (not inaccurate dash/coil signal)... It has been higher too :d

i don't think that's a stock auto ecu you got there joyce, since my stock auto ecu still only gets around 8200rpm... under 8500rpm anyway... so my guess it's a aftermarket ecu for a auto ecu... also stock toyota ecu's still cap the limiter close to around 8,000rpm... so yours must be tuned from japan... anything above 8,500rpm isn't stock... (minus any rev limiter installed)...

joyce do you have a g sensor installed? to correct the times for wheel spin? is the wheel correction correct?

Is the pulse setting correct on the rsm for the revs to be that high? whats the rev counter saying?

Guys,I need to install my RSM.. Can some one show me exactly the pins I have to join my wires? Because someone told me that the rev pin is not there as Apexi says..

@BZ-G: Ya myself and my mates were thinking about that but when i bought her she was 100% standard except for the ECU and a Greddy oil Filter!. But reving up to around 8500rpm is normal enough. I have a mate with a silvertop and a mate with a bzg and both of theirs revs to around 8500! Is there any way I could check the ecu to see if it was tuned? :idk: :idk:

@Robcam: No i dont have a G sensor, but i wasnt spinning the wheels when i got any of those times. And the whell correction is set as the manual says (mine is at 104%), my wheels are only 16's anyway. :idk: And i set the pulse setting th the instructions and the RSM revs match with my standard clocks...the needle goes well into the redline!

Lads i didnt post up fake RSM pics just so i could boast. I know i have a quick levin here but i wanted to see what ye think

@ Levin Bzr: I wired mine according to the Apexi website, dont know of any other way!

the RPM and speed on the dash can be a fair way out as rpm is generated off the coil and iv seen upto 500rpm over read, as for speed 20km is possible at higher speeds. hence why my rsm reads rpm off the crank angle sensor... much more accurate as it controls the spark/injection

Silvertops factory cut is 8500 blacktop is around the 8-8200 area?

Yeah if the rev counter in the corolla is correct 8200-8300 (once or twice 8500  )

don't think we guys think it's fake or anything... just surprised about your results...
as discussed with you before, i just have a feeling there bit more 'power' coming out of your car from somewhere, and i can only think of that auto ecu you've got... just check if there is any labels on the ecu, and also open the cover to see if there is anything tampered with in the ecu board...

Thanks BZ-G, will have a look wen i get a chance.

Cud ya give me more details on wiring it off the coil, mite try that and see

I reckon the only way to sort this is for me to get an official 1/4mile time:D
