did u have a silencer in it if so did u take it out? it could been from the baffle some exhaust manifacturers use this to supress the exhaust noise but if what your saying if its just sitting in a straight bit of your exhaust its not supposed to be |

is most likely that your exhaust system is rooted. Is the steel backing that JDM exhaust use in their resonators or centre mufflers. if its shooting out when you rev it, then it means that the baffle that holds it in place is cracked or rooted. |

Heard of some people using it to quiten exhaust noise.... What kind of system do you have???? Last owner may have put it in. I'd take it out myself, just to hear how it should sound...

My friend had this and he took it out it was the silencer. Looked like a long tube it had broken off in the exhaust and was just rattleing around in the back box. His car is lot louder now.how would this effect the car? |

After my first time out on track i was left with that steel wool all over my back bumper and the car had got quieter too lol. i just put it down to a blown baffel and possibly some of the wool had blocked the exhaust some bit and lowered the noise level. After a few days of driving it eventually cleared the rest of it out! Its a small bit noisier than before, nothing much though! Kakimoto cat back BTW. |

Would take'n out the silences and all the "wool" not cause your car to drink petrol |
