IS there any adverse affects to fitting a lightened flywheel to a standard engine ??

I know the common spiel is that the engine can loose rpm quicker .
would it be worth doing ??

Also
What clutch upgrades are best to the clutch what brand's should i look to for a full kit .
Im only researching this stuff now as il have all the suspension chassis mod's sorted soon so il be focusing on the engine /driveline..

Thanks

look at a exedy HD clutch or a good brand (well balanced) clutch that has a heavy cover this will be fine for most mods but if your going to give it a hard time and gain quite alot of power look at something ceramic.

No issues with putting a light flywheel in... but the blacktop ones is quite light as it is so you will have to decide if its worth the money

if you want to get a better flywheel just get the one you have balanced. getting a lighter one will make it rev quicker but it will loose momentum going up hill= more fuel.
like ace said( its light already)

ohh your running a silvertop? have you seen what makes the blacktop one 1kg lighter? (btw factory flywheel is already balanced only need to rebalanced if you remove metal to lighten it)

Iv installed a few exedy clutches never had an issue and they are balanced, I put a H/D cover with organic disc into "z-master"s car was a good deal $30 more than a std one.
I use ceramic button clutch's at the mo im using a exedy steel flywheel and xtream clutch ... the balance out of the box was real bad
