If you go to Toyota with all the details printed on the little silver plate at the back of your engine bay (chassis no. etc) Toyota UK should be able to order you in the standard clutch kit. You could always go aftermarket though.

Whatever kit u go for, try and get a release bearing from Toyota. Any aftermarket kit i've seen/experienced has had a noisy release bearing. |

look into a custom clutch perhaps? I know a local company here will knock up a custom heavy duty clutch for cheaper than you'd pay for a standard duty aftermarket item, I know of a AE86 with a 20v drifter who abuses it daily and its given him no greif over the past 18months and for the $400-500AUD he paid for it, well worth it I reckon. the last clutch I did buy was an excedy heavy duty for my FC3S cost aroun $1000aud worked a treat and never had any trouble. |

4 puck is not to bad, dont think id use a 3puck on the street tho. its not to bad on the street but if you have traffic and hills its not easy, traffic its ok but as it heats up it grips more an more suddenly (on/off) |

most kits like that are around 200nzd(108euro) here, stock toyota one is a little cheaper, a valco one is about that and a exeedy is a little more. the exeedy disc alown is 100nzd (54.37euro) my exeedy race clutch was ment to be $700nz(380.65 euro) but I paid $400nz (217.51 euro) :D:D |

I've got an Exedy heavy duty clutch, its not heavy or anything... its a bit of a 'bear trap' in that it is pretty bitey. But Atleast I know I'm not going to kill it... it was 350 AUD for the kit, compared to 650 AUD for a toyota oem (that is just a cheap exedy standard clutch anyway so I'm told) |

didnt know excedy did clutch kit for that sort of price for ae111! thats brilliant!! where did you get that from coz i would love one!!! i've been toying with the idea of getting a toda clutch kit, think me current clutch is on its way out as it sort of sllips for a milli second when i boot it! so i thought i would replace the whole thing!! all that power and a slippy clutch is not the way to realise the true power of the machine!! |

I wouldn't go near the cheap exedy clutches with a barge pole mate! Ask the starlet owners. Yeh toyota don't do a kit but its £180 for the parts. My local garage quoted me £210 fitted but im not sure what clutch they are going to put in it mind you! |

" I wouldn't go near the cheap exedy clutches with a barge pole mate" thats a load of rubish, exedy, is also dykon ... both same company, dykon makes OEM clutches for jap car makers, the exedy clutch is like a stock one but with a better pressure plate and better buffers in the clutch plate (springs not rubber) for the same price as a OEM unit they cant be beaten. also if you look at toda and TRD clutch's you will find they were probibly made in an exedy/dykon factory. I have a 4puk exedy race clutch and I cant say anything bad about it, even using it on the street. Pics stolen off trademe ![]() This is a OEM unit, notice the shitty rubber buffers... confirmed $175nzd, some places upto $250 ![]() exedy replacement $250-350$nz ![]() what im using, $600 rrp, with contacts $400nzd
