ok, well my car is automatic and im going about the manual conversion, i thought it would be ery slow but a guy basicaly has everything i need bar the gearbox, but there easy to get just need to haggle the price for a good one, but what im stuck on is that im gonna buy a new clutch and flywheel, so should i go performance or standard ?? and if performance which make, and a rough price of each part please. also i would in no way consider myself a race car driver, and dont do track day so just looking for nice smooth easy gear changes so would standard cutch be best then maybe a lightened flywheel for bit more power ??? Thanks

aslo be offerd all these parts for €200 is that good ? he said he'd give me the ecu for €40.

front, rear and LH engine mounts, with extra LH engine mount brace, better to get all 4 although i only did the two

manual gearstick

firewall for the manual gearbox to the crank case

optional manual ecu, can still use auto ecu with manual box

Pedal

brake cervo

so are above parts worth 240 with ecu or 200 without ?? then he said id need the clucth slave and master cylinder is this needed ye ??

all help be good thanks lads.

just thinking id probly want a good strong clutch so i dont break it, what would be best ??

dont need ecu or brake servo, ecu will be more hassle as you need the plugs/loom with auto loom you just need to bridge wires and wire your reverse switch.

The things you might find hard to find are the plastic m/t surround, shifter and c56... m/t cables off a 90's corolla should fit, along with mounts if needed.

You will need the right hand side drive shaft hanger as its different distance off the block... your auto shaft can still be used just the cast hanger needs changing.

Clutch master/slave from a 90's corolla will work along with peddle box

"firewall for the manual gearbox to the crank case "

If you mean the under support brace for gearbox/block the a/t one should be the same... you don't even need to run them

from what i know it would be better to get the man ecu as the auto one is not very aggresive in the mapping.

i'm still using auto ecu after converting to 5spd manual...
tested before the manual ecu 5spd and 6spd, but revert back to auto ecu...
findings:-
- no different in power output or the fuel comsumption
- vvt open earlier or on lighter load (the +point of why i've change back to auto ecu)

good luck...
