Hi guys, I have the Levin 20v blacktop. Currently running short trumpets, now with large ITG filter and soon to have the full custom fabs manifold, decat and exhaust system. I don't want to spend any more money on power. I just want it breathing better and making decent reliable power for racing later this year. When I race, it will be in a power / weight class, so not looking for more power. Anyway, I am now getting lots more air in and will be getting it out better through the exhaust. It was rolling roaded recently and it was running ok (not rich or lean) The question is - will the standard ecu give enough fuel? If not, should I get an adjustable fuel regulator to help? OR - Do I need to spend hundreds on an after market ECU, mapping and rolling road time - not really what I want to do..... Kai and McLevin |

the stock fuel regulator is actually pretty good... aftermarket fuel regulators like SARD won't benefit much since the variance isn't that good... it's best to get a standalone since that will adjust everything to it's maximum potential... but if you're on a budget then stock ecu and engine is pretty good already... how many laps/long do you run on a race track? since it'll be a good idea to get oil pressure, oil temp, rad temp gauges... also maybe a oil cooler too... |

Races are 45 minutes with a driver change or stop half way. I have already ordered oil temp and pressure gauges to keep an eye and will make decision on oil cooler if needed. Track days have been fine uptil now in hot weather with all temps (water and oil) staying consistent. I'll let you know how it all goes. What about an adjustable fuel regulator - would that help to set the car up a bit better on the rolling road? They are only £100 or so.... Kai and McLevin |

is driver change a must? since that usually takes a lot of time.... but fuel and tyre pressure checks are a must... if it's 45mins then i would recommend oil cooler since when i was driving for 30min on the track hard out the oil temps can get up to 130C and the oil pressure a bit low when coming into the pits... some adjustable fuel regulators don't have good variances... like i said before SARD is adjustable but it doesn't go as low as what we wanted... i think NISMO adjustable fuel regualtors suit our cars better... but you have to know what the adjustments are on the fuel regluators... |

I would imagine that the standard con rods arnt going to be too happy with being used hard for such an amount of time, is it running standard internals at the moment ? |

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Yeah standard internals with good oil changed after every track day and/or race. I'm only revving to 8000, so shouldn't be too stressful for the engine. It's don eplenty of track days where it's run for that long no problems. PS - Driver change is part of one of the series - alternatively, tou can simply get out of the car and climb back in, but it has to take 3 minutes... PPS - An oil cooler is on the cards. Kai |

You can consider getting an E-mange. This can adjust fueling and with the slight upgrades you have its perfect and the cost isn't that much. |
