Sensor? attached to stock intake; what is it

just wondering whats the sensor attached to the top half of the stock airbox? is it something that is needed? im installing my toms intake.

yea you need it. Its the airflow sensor.

hmmm. shit. there's nowhere on the toms intake to mount it. will have to ask thomas.

I believe it is the air temp sensor. AE111 don't run AFM, they run MAP. But you will still need the air temp sensor.

Yup air temp sensor. It doesn't have to be in "anything" but it does need to be hooked up and preferibly somewhere where its the same temperature as the filter.
