ok so im changing my engine and i have a perfect 6 speed with lsd and a perfect 5 speed with lsd which does everyone recon i have never spent any time with the 6 so i dont know i do like the 5 speed bit i like the idea of the 6. please help i need to know within a week. |

I think the 5 speed can take more abuse. I have a 6 speed and love it, really nice and tight gear changes. |

I'm not sure what the ratios are for both but with a high revving, low torque motor it'd say the more gears, the better. Easier to keep in the sweet spot without having to nail it as hard. |

I've had both the 6 speed is a million times better for driving on the road and especially on track. If you just do motorwaydriving or dragracing I go fo the 5 speed though. The longer 4th gear makes the 5 speed quicker from 90 mph+ |

i think ill be trying the 6 speed then ha. i do mainly short drive of late and a bit of motorway driving but i like an involving drive. just have to swap the engines out now as the clutch is going so not alot more to get it all done at the same time. |

Its well known that the 5 speed is a stronger unit and gives slightly more acceleration due to lower ratio's I would prefere the 5 speed personally |
