I'm running T3 velocity stacks, 75mm length. I've bought an ITG air filter for it. Got the JC40-100mm one. The base plate comes blank so I spent a fair bit of time cutting it to get it how I want it. This is a photo of the base plate with the holes cut (I had some trouble doing it, was using a hole saw designed for plaster board, not steel!) ![]() This is with the grommets fitted. They are so I can have the air temp sensor fitted, and the 2 pipes that are originally connected to the plenum (power steering and idle valve or something like that) ![]() This is with the base plate bolted up, hoses connected and the 'guns' fitted. ![]() ![]() ![]() All finished. The white marks on the filter are just residue from the oil I coated it with. It's a tight squeeze but fits fine. ![]() ![]() Got to sort out my cold air feed next. |

I'm not sure what to make of it really. It felt good when standard, then I fitted the velocity stacks open for a week. It sounded mental but lost a bit of low end torque. Flat out, felt pretty similar to standard, maybe a little quicker. Since fitting the filter the torque has improved no end, feels better than stock. The engine is running smoother and it feels really creamy low down. Up top, i'd say it's similar to the open throttles but sounds better as it's not as harsh and loud. It also seems to rev faster, i'm running out of revs quicker than before. I assumed that the performance would be worse with the filter than without. Very happy with it. The differences could be down to me having the air-temp sensor re-located and running the PAS and idle vaccum pipes in the filter. Not really sure. Need to get it on a rolling road and see what she's putting out. |

Me too, the car is so much more fun to drive, just because of the noise, love it. |
