Surfing the net the other day i found these 2 chips and am wondering whether they will be able to provide any actual performance improvements, and what the potential hazards of them are. Ive got a stock AE111 blacktop with K&N Pod filter. If the claims are even half of what theyre saying then seem like reasonably cheap and simple methods of improving performance  . Has anyone else used chips like these before?

Stay away from these performance mod scams. Unless someone actually show me a dyno sheet of before and after, and not some made up ones using excel, then I will believe it. Otherwise STAY AWAY!

just looking at the other products they are selling, i would stay away from them like the plague! anyone selling a 'turbo sounding exhaust tip' obviously doesn't cater to the performance market.

earthing a car properly can reap some benefits but the easiest way of doing that is buying some thick cable and earthing it to pretty much everything you can find.

Cheers guys! LOL yeah i figured the 50times was bullshit, but the site looks like they just google translated it from chinese. BTW earthing kits, worth money or can you just buy the cable from electrical/hardware store and DIY?

buy the cable FTW

easiest to do by yourself, its not rocket science; just ground everything in sight ;)

but if you have no time etc any auto electric would probably be able to do it in about 30mins.

Yeah been looking at a few guides on the internet. Seems piece of cake. Anyone know best place to get the cable from in Aus? I work in bunnings, we only go up to 3 core :fail:

Realise that this is a old thread, but thought I would follow up on this. I ended up getting an earthing kit, mainly for the stereo that I used to have in the car. Didn't a huge difference, something to keep in mind. There is barely any room between the top of the battery and the bonnet. If you are looking to buy an earthing kit, ensure that it will fit between the top of the battery and the bonnet. The kit that I ended up buying was slightly too big and therefor rubbed against the top of the bonnet. I was able to hack it together so I could still get it in but really more effort on what is already a pretty useless piece of equipment.
