Well anyone that had converted a auto to manual, how do you get the reverse lights to work? Is it that seperate wire from the gear selector? Ive heard there is 2 wires out of the 3 that need joing togther? Anyone point me in the right direction of which 2 need joining? Thanks |

the rev switch is a 2pin plug at the top of the box, the wires for it are in the auto selector plug, wire colouring is the same from memory... in auto an mt loom |

does it matter that i still have the gear selector plugged in in park position? the car wouldnt start otherwise when i converted it thanks

there is two black wires on the selector solder them together and remove the selector if you take a photo of the back of the plug with wires I could tell you... but not off the top of my head.

Right i took a few pictures for you. there is a black wire and a black and white wire is this what you ment? ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for the darkness... Erm... my main consern is that when i converted it the car wouldnt start unless the selector was plugged in so i have always left it plugged in and it has always remained in "P" position on the dash. If i take the two wires out for the reverse will this bring me back to the start or will it not affect it and it will still start ok? Thanks in advance
