Hi all I was looking at putting a varex exhaust on my ae111 So far I have cusco 4-2-1 headers hiflow stainless cat then stock from there but I feel the engine makes more noise than the exhaust. Does anyone have a varex ? If so what are the gains ect... Also if it's not worth putting on what should I get ? Anysuggestions and links to exhausts would be appreciated |

You have cusco headers and you want to change it??? DON'T. They are one of the best headers you can get for the engine. It is HOT demand for the cusco one. So i would say keep it. |

I think he is meaning a varex backbox. I don't think he is changing the headers. Probably be better off with a cat back exhaust than just a muffler as the stock back box actually flows very well. |

Sorry I am deff keeping the cusco headers But I want the car to be louder and I want some improvement In performance. I am in aus so I won't risk going decat The only thing that interested mr about the varex muffler is that it can be quiet moderate or deafening . But I don't really care I would prefer a good jap one but I can't seem to find any for sale only ones for turbo's Also what I was planning on doing was going for 2 1/4 pipe with resonator any views on what my total set up should have for best sound and gains |

hehe you wouldnt happen to own a blue levin? in any case, I would suggest running one of the JDM exhausts you are right about 2 1/4 ones..try a HKS silent hi-power from ebay... Ebay Link |

Yes i do own a blue levin ![]() the HKS is super expensive to be honest + postage i was thinking of a JDM cannon and get custom pipework from cat with a resonator. Alot cheaper |

Yeh did mate Is yours the white one on green road ? As for cannons to be honest i wouldn't have a clue i like the the look of the burnt titanium tipped ones greddy do. i have had a quote for $220 from cat back with 2.25" piping that was to install a varex though but should be cheaper for just a cannon since their is no wiring to do. but i do like the varex cannon since you can change the volume that said it is a defect :( |
