I kinda stumbled across this and it seems very interesting that you can get your horsepower and KW at the touch of a button. My question is would this fit in a ae111 ? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ScanGauge-II-Version-3-17-X-Guage-/260635343959?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3caf13bc57#ht_3601wt_1139 |

You can't measure horsepower with a little plastic box, you need to put your car on a dyno |

dont look like it'll tell you the bhp of your car. though if it works it sounds quite useful - water temp, intake temp etc! i mean people pay a lot of money for those gauges, each!! i dont know, look at the ODB 2 connector that is supplied, does it match ours? |

i assume it is something like the apexi RSM? first off don't buy rubbish crap. secondly RSM's (with g sensor & if set up right) can measure HP but not that accurately. better to be used as a comparision tool for before and after mods. and thirdly don't buy rubbish crap fourthly anything can be wired in but no it won't plug straight in. fifthly; stay off ebay */ Rant |

Its not just on ebay there are stores world wide that sell it. And it measures HP with the x-gauge software. this is their website http://www.scangauge.com/products/ To be honest i just wasn't sure if our cars had a OBD port. Truenosam cleared that up There is also quite a few videos on youtube were it shows people using them. Edited by 9,10,levin, Sep 8 2010, 01:27 AM.

Nah boss as others have said won't work on our diagnostic ports. RSM is probably better option as it does the features such as power, revs, actual speed etc while adding proper JDM style points. Oh and RSM will read past 250km/h

speaking of 250+ km/h, is the BT engine capable of doing such speed? seen a vid on youtube and this guy was hitting over 250km/h - using a RSM to read the speed. im pretty sure the the car had a 4age 20v BT engine in it. |
