Recaro SR3; Side Buttons are stuck

Hey guy's the wife got me a set of factory Recaros for xmas but the release buttons for the back rest on one of them is jammed. anyone know how to fix this?

Has a spring come off the mechanism ?? sometimes the can be stiff i remember greasing the spring under my lm recaros.

found the hooks at the bottom that the buttons release but the it seems to be stuck at the top

ya i was talking about them it releases a clasp at the bottom to let someone in the back of the car .
Are both side stuck on the one seat .?

I have had a similar problem with a recaro seat and whist it was fitted I basically pushed the back rest from forward to back with force and it was fine. Never faulted again.

I thing the plastic handle just pulls off and the trim can be removed to acsess the mechanism. If you get stuck let me know as I have a contact at recaro in Germany (hq) may he able to suggest a fix

I gave that a shot and no luck. Have pulled the button off and the trim but it doesn't actually make it easier to get to anything. Thinking about removing the whole seat cover but don't want to risk wrecking the fabric or the bolsters.
