OEM LSD C160 MOVE TO C56 S/TOP; OEM LSD

anyone can help.? I have just changed gearbox (c160) 6 speed to (c 56) 5 spd s / top? my problem can OEM LSD from 6 spd just now moved will inside gearbox c 56 silvertop

It can. We have C52 with LSD from C160 in the BZR.

yes it will fit
but check the end bearing taper to make sure its the same, you can swap the bearing races easy just make sure you shim it right.

You must change the gear that's bolted to the diff to the 5speed one as they have different final drive crown and pinions

What advantages could be gained in erms of acceleration if he choose to use the final drive crown and pinion from the 6spd? .... or is it that it wont bolt up unless it is changed to the spd crown and pinion?

Trying to get a better understanding of these boxes........Thanks in advance

Finga, you on Wheelsjamaica?

Everything wont fit. LSD is the same byt crown and pinion is different.

the final drive on the shaft is part of it.... so will be to long to press 5speed gears on + the C&P prob strip been weaker
