I rebuilt the engine, the block I use b/t and head is s/t with the air flow, and the 6 speed gearbox. Can I apply to the ECU 5 speed from s/t engine? help for my opinion..

I remember reading somewhere (pretty sure it was Tom's or Mines website to do with their tuned ECU's). Difference is that the 6speed ECU has a slightly different tune which pulls timing when changing gears (guess it's based on the TPS signal - if ECU notes driver suddenly lifting off throttle then back on). Was to help "look after weak transmission" |

You are correct. I just checked on it. 6 Speed has delay while shifting where as 5 speed does not. |

5spd s/t and 5spd b/t ECU is the same and we can change at any time (right??) without any prob!! I use b/t pistons, so 5spd and 6 SPD ECU is a difference but we still can use on any gearbox ! like that! or how?? |

You have my setup Silvertop Head with blacktop Pistons. Do you still have Blacktop Wire loom and throttle body? It would be better to use BT wire loom and ECU since you have the 6 speed box. Edited by Ikenty, Mar 11 2011, 07:40 AM.

Use Blacktop throttle body, wire harness, VVT Sensor and ECU on silvertop engine. |

Take off silvertop throttle body and air flow meter. Use blacktop throttle body and map sensor. Use balcktop ECU and wire harness. |
