Hi guys wondering if there are any options for low rails but for the standard seats, or simply if theres any way to lower the seating position with the OEM seats and without bolting them into the car floor. Cheers |

No its not possible to mount them any lower. And no other rails are available to bolt onto the factory seats as the rails are integral parts of the seats. Recaro's on factory Recaro/Toyota rails only sit slightly lower i think. After market rails (bride etc don't sit any lower) The only way you would get something lower would be to having something that is fixed position. I've got option 3 in my car with Recaro SR3's and there plenty low enough. Most passengers pretty much fall into the seat due to where it sits. From the lowest point of the seat (the bit you sit on) (where the back meets the base) to the roof vertically is 940mm. (seat in my driving position I'm 183 cm) And with me sitting in the seat there is 100mm from the top of my head to the roof. (hows this compare to factory?) (ill take measurements tomorrow with seat fully slid back on rails) The four main types of rails for after market seats are : Option 1. Generic make AE111 rail to suit sr style Recaro seats (sits prob the highest out of the available options) ![]() Option 2. Recaro after market rail to suit AE111 sits pretty much as low as possible for non fixed back. ![]() Option 3. Recaro/Toyota factory rail. suit AE111 sits pretty much as low as possible for non fixed back. ![]() Option 4. Style of rail for fixed back seats. (not specifically ae111) as rails mount to side or seat might allow the seat to mount lower although your still limited by the height of the member at the front where the rails mount to.

^ There, ask someone to get from Recaro Japan, or get the Bride Type RO. Both suit SR3 Recaro =) |

Is it just me that thinks the picture could be slightly miss leading? With the Bride seats he appears to have the seat on a bit of a lean backwards Problem with the stock rails and seats is that as there isn't any room to drop the seat lower |

^^^ Yar, its actually quite a snug fit with the Recaro rails, I can just find a mini socket set and mini spanner set underneath my Recaro and recaro rail... |

how is it misleading ? you want a low seating postion, one way is to have the rear of the seat lower than the front it's a fixed bucket not a reclinable |
