Hi everyone, My name's Andy, and I've owned my white '98 BZ-R for a couple of years now. Basically it's completely stock apart from a 2.25" mandrel bent stainless exhaust and an aftermarket stereo install. I'm just new to this forum, recognise a few names from the TS forums in NZ. Great to see that there are fans of these choice little cars all over the world! I'm pretty noob on mechanical work, but I'm keen to learn a bit more, so if there's anyone from Auckland who can lend some friendly advice and possibly some time in exchange for a cold beer, give us a shout! All the best, Andy |

Not right at the moment, and probably won't take any just yet, because it hasn't been washed in a while (about a month)
Once it's been washed I'll get some taken, though since it's all very stock, the most exciting thing at present is the unfortunately broken monsoon shield where I accidentally head-butted it! |

is it a Trueno or Levin and what colour? I like the looks of the standard BZ-R's with the side skirts and bodykit ![]() oh bummer, yeah seems like a common thing with these, Lucky I managed to buy a brand New set from Toyota not so long ago. |

It's a white Levin BZ-R, facelift, with the silver surround crystal headlights (as opposed to the black surrounds, which I think were OEM for FL Truenos?), has the factory sideskirts but no front lip or end caps. I'd buy a factory front lip but they're not all that easy to come by and they seem to cost far too much. Last one I saw on TM was bought for about $300 by someone from Aussie and then he had to pay shipping on top! (Also it was silver and so not really ideal for me). My new plan is to try and fibreglass something up that I like for the front splitter and end caps. I've worked with carbon a couple of times so I'm thinking it shouldn't be too hard to use those skills for FG. Now I just need to find the time.

yes the Black ones are from Truenos, but if you have seen the recent competition on here the runner up contender had one similar to yours with the front splitter and looks very nice. searching on Malaysian sites would be the best way to go as everything for us is half price, pritty sure I saw a front splitter for 120NZD. I'll have another look for you now though. Edit* I have found a white one but no pricing: http://www.mudah.my/AE111+lips-9269779.htm Edited by AE111_JAMES, Jun 8 2011, 01:34 AM.

I hadn't seen the competition, but not too surprised that BZR4AGE won...that car is amazing. I really wanted to buy it when he put it up for sale but couldn't convince my fiancée to delay our wedding ![]() I really like the look of the black Trueno headlights in the white Levin...something to think about for sure |

Okay folks, had a chance over the weekend to give the car a good clean and in surprisingly good weather for an Auckland winter, took it out for a wee bit of a photo-tour of my neighbourhood. Results as attached. First time using photobucket so if it's no good let me know. urbanmenace - I live on the North Shore, whereabouts are you? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() *2013-01-07 edited to update photo links* Edited by ales_000, Jan 6 2013, 10:01 PM.

I'd like to rebuild a blacktop if I can find one in decent nick, not really to make any big performance gains, more just to learn. That said, I'll probably find myself at that point where you have the engine in bits and you see a set of aftermarket cams for sale and think hmmmm... and then one day you wake up and you've got an engine like BZR4AGE's. But apart from maybe doing that as/when I can afford it, I'm currently working on a buck for a front splitter which I'll then try and fibreglass. I did a little bit of carbon fibre work back when I was aat uni, but haven't done anything of that ilk in a while. Basically, I daily drive her, with a hankering to take her on a track and do work to her once I can afford it after my wedding next year. |

Welcome to the site! And nice pictures too! The car looks very tidy and clean, how many km's has it done? Will look so much better with some aftermarket wheels and a front splitter. |
