Hey guys, I'm from Auckland, new zealand. Had my levin for a while now but I only just found this place. Looks great for finding out information ![]() I've got a 96 levin XZ, got a 4A-FE engine which I'm looking to hopefully swap out for a 4a-ge sometime. Maybe some of you will be able to help on that ![]() Some photos: ![]() ![]() ![]()

haha, to be honest in my case it was a lot harder as everything was bought seperate, like the motor, gearbox, loom, ecu, power steering lines which had to be tracked down. I ended up purchasing the engine loom all the way from Ireland! (cheers Alankey). funnily enough it was a better deal to buy form him than from here in NZ. When you go to do yours try and buy it all together, chances are the power steering lines and reservoir will be cut off but they are not all that hard to find along with the drivers side drive shaft and 2-1 exhaust piping but let me know if you ever need some help, before I went to do my swap I did countless hours of re-search but to no avail, normally found write ups for the AE101 corollas, none on AE111's that went into any great description. |

Nah actually on the shore haha, but I got a few mates out that way so I end up there pretty often. The conversions sounding pretty good, how long did it take you to get it sorted? |

I did the swap over the weekend but getting the parts for the conversion and rebuilding the engine took me about 4 months, quite a few of the parts had to be ordered from Japan. If you bought the complete motor + gearbox etc you should be able to have it done in no time. |

A winter meet would be awesome, too bad I'm carless in wellington half the time. Sounds like there are a lot of people doing the conversion which is good to hear. At the moment I'm thinking of buying a set of SSA Rush wheels like these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=386335282![]() did a quick photoshop of them, hopefully they look as good as that

Cheers mate nice to see heaps of friendly and helpful people on here.30mm sounds pretty decent, although I've noticed my car is a little lower than other stock levins out there, no idea why. Like if you look at http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/suspension-braces/auction-386563987.htm, the levin in their image doesn't look too much lower than mine.. although the bigger wheels probably make a difference Edited by Xgen, Jun 29 2011, 01:03 PM.
