Have not seen a discussion thread about this so whats the best uprated clutch to run in a 6 speed gearbox? would be using a lightweight flywheel to

Im thinking the TRD organic clutch (not 3 puk one)

Or this http://www.rhdjapan.com/cusco-copper-clutch-set-toyota-ncp10-ae86-ae91-ae92-aw11-ep82-ep91-63877

If you're only doing light tuning and its your DD not a track car, then Exedy HD perfect...

No point using puk/button layout which has little material and not suitable for daily driving. Expensive exercise to replace every 6mth - 1yr with DD on puk style clutches...

Go for organic clutch mate. The 6 speed gearbox is weak for a 3 puk clutch. Exedy is a very good choice.

Have a look Here

Go under Toyota + Sprinter then AE111...
Look at TYK-6932HD... And you can compare it to the rest of the Exedy range...

Personally I don't know just how long the C160 will survive with a Puk/Button style clutch nor the Cylinder XD

puk clutch would just be overkill. HD excedy would be much better option as others have said.

Oh and it's the crown wheel/pinion on the 6speeds that have issues - any clutch should be capable of breaking them if you are rough

Actually I should clarify, its because of the harsh actions to drive the ****** puk clutch that will murder your gearbox XD

I think yes. You can contact the seller and ask him if it is for a 4age 20v, though.

I have a Stage 2 exedy clutch, and it is a bit more aggressive than the regular one. But if you are in traffic for a long time, it's getting stiffer, and you can't do a proper launch. :$

lol i know what you mean, i had a trd pressure plate using before and it could be a pain in traffic but you get a better performance so i would go for the stage 2 exedy.

If you have a 6 speed gearbox, go for stage 1. If you have a 5 speed, go for stage 2.

My brother's trueno had one of this. It is very good. It smells a bit when you are in traffic (lol), but it works great and it gives a great feeling when changing gear! It also helps with revs.
