Dear all, itīs Ronny from Germany. I finished changing the lighting to German standard (looks funny) and want to get the Levin registered soon, but for this I BADLY need data for the vehicle documents. I need front and rear axle weight (empty and loaded) and stuff like that. Is this in the UK registration documents? Thank you, Ronny |

I'm unsure if someone else may have this but in my logbook it literally says nothing! Only Toyota, Coupe, white, and the vin no. Literally nothing else! What kind of proof do you need for the data? Because otherwise you could just of course make it up, would you need paperwork somehow stating these figures? |

Have you not already asked this question quite a few times and as my reply again will be that no vehicle registered outside of the uk requires this data on the log book Both my trueno's didnt even have the model on the V5 just registered as a Toyota coupe coulor and vin. |

Thank you guys for your answers. Yes, I already asked for a data sheet previously but couldnīt get anything. Yesterday i googled for UK registration documents and it already looked like there is very few car information in it. In Germany they write all kinds of stuff it, seems to be similar in the Netherlands, so I sent a PM to Dutch member Peter, hoping he can help me... Appreciating your help very much, Ronny |

Thank you, friends! Gross vehicle weight, is this the allowed maximum weight ? Meaning that weīre only allowed to put 220 kg in the Levin, including persons and luggage? |

Dear friends, donīt want to get on your nerves with my weight questions, but the AE111īs maximum (allowed) gross weight canīt be just 220 kg above the weight of the empty car. If the empty car is 1080 kg, 1300 kg may be the kerb weight, but looking at Wikipedia the AE111 has a maximum gross weight of 1615 kg. Can anyone confirm this? When fully loaded, how is the weight distributed to front and rear axle? It may be about 900 kg on front axle and 715 on the rear axle. Does anyone have the exact numbers or an idea where to get them? All I can find is the empty weight distribution, which is 700 kg at the front and 380 kg , which add to 1080. Greetings from Germany! Ronny |

why not just go and weigh the car? The information you want is not published anywhere as it is not required in any other country. Also weight difference when loaded would be dependent on where you put the weight. Example...70kg driver and 200kg in the boot the weight distribution will be different to 4 passengers each weighing 90kg. |

considering that there isn't any official documentation available, consider using a similar vehicle for reference ? or as a last resort, make it up ? BTW, do you intend on taking it to the nurburgring ? |

I suggested weighing the car to calculate the weight distribution. When the car is loaded (4 corner scales will tell you this) Even though its totally dependent on where the weigh is placed in the car as I stated previously. Why does it even matter? why would you ever want to put more than 220kg in an AE111 and drive it in any manner that would actually matter? Your not exactly going to get pulled over by the police and told to drive over a weigh bridge. In the Japanese brochure its quite clearly shows two values and the difference is 220kg. So like it or not 220kg is the only value your going to find on documentation from Toyota. |

The problem is the rules in Germany. In our car registration documents there are a lot of values, among them is the maximum allowed weight and how itīs distributed on the axles. Finally, you have to know how much weight youīre allowed to put on your vehicle! n2o, I already had the same thought... Donīt know about Nürburgring, itīs just an XZ

So the actual value doesn't matter then. Just print out the sales brochure and give that to them. End of story. |

There was another member on here from Denmark a while ago who had a similar problem to you, it ended up being a real pain, I don't think he managed to register it in the end. A big hassle but why don't you bring it to the UK where it's really easy to register literally any vehicle and then take it back to Germany where in turn it would be really easy to register. |

By the way for almost 2 years ago, I almost bought a Levin (first gen. AE111) with a broken engine in Germany so there was one before you. ( a grey one, which has been sold to Luxembuorg) Is yours a generation 1 with the second gen. bumper and light on it? Because I see other skirts and a low spoiler. The fog light I made in one of the "white lights for drive backwards". Its removeble and after the "MOT" I can easly change it back. Where in Germany do yo live? In the neighbourhood of the Dutch border? Edited by GTTC20, Aug 4 2011, 06:35 PM.

Dear GTTC20, thank you for your reply! I live on the opposite side of Germany, near Czech Republic, in Klingenthal. My Levin is a 1998 XZ model with 4A-FE engine. It has the optional front and rear spoiler, TRD side skirts, 3-spoke steering wheel, a nice stereo and 76.000 kilometers. I bought it in an auction in December 2010 and it arrived on March 11 in Bremerhaven. I wanted an XZ because the car will be driven mainly in town, replacing my wifeīs 1996 VW Polo 1,0 as our family car which is getting too small. My own car is a 1985 MR2, I drive it every day and it has 319.000 kilometers. I put the fog light of a Nissan Note under the rear bumper, they said Iīm not allowed to integrate it into the rear lights. But what you did is a good idea! Iīm attaching some pictures of the car! Thank you very much for the figures! I see you have maximum weight figures in your car registration documents in the Netherlands. This is one of the values I need to get my Levin registered! Is it possible that you send me a scan of "kentekenbewijs deel I B" or "deel II" to my e-mail address? I looked for kentekenbewijs on Google and I think the numbers that I need are in it. For example, I also need maximum axle weight, which is 920 kg with the European Corolla E11. Peter_D will probably sent me a scan, but heīs on vacation at the moment. I think a copy of kentekenbewijs "deel I B" will help me very much ! My e-mail address is: mr-2@gmx.net Kind regards, Ronny Petzold ! Finally, some pictures: |

Hi friends, I finally got plates on the car - and want to thank everyone who helped , especially GTTC20 and Peter for your copies! We just came back from our vacation at the Baltic Sea, where we went with the Levin! We registered it just minutes before we left (Saturday 20th in the morning) and were happy to have air conditioning (for the first time). Also, much more luggage space this time... A surprisingly practical car! See you soon in other parts of the forum! Ronny |
