Hi all, My Drivers Recaro seat is wearing crazy on the side, from getting in an out all the time, starting to show some foam Just wondering if anyone knows someone in Melbourne who could Reupholster for a good price, I think only one side needs doing. Thanks Jesse |

I don't know any upholster over there but tbh best bet would be to call by a few shops and see what they'd charge. I'm getting a bolster re-done (material is mint, foam is deformed and has fallen away) and that's going to be $60. |

You can buy the material from Recaro Australia from memory then its a simple find a interior upholster/trimmer person to do it for you =) If you want to fix the foam though, you'll have to contact that person... |

lol I decided it was expensive so removed the fabric and poked some new foam in the areas that had disintegrated and then added lots of tape Then I washed the fabric and re assembled the seat. Looks like new again. When I get around to doing my other seat I'll do a little DIY. |

Another option is to buy another seat, possible with a different pattern. Then just swap the centre piece over

http://www.idealseat.com.au/ you can try these guys, they are the official recaro distributors in melbourne, people from the itr forums have been quoted $150 for bolster replacement. here is also a recaro seat fix guide. http://www.scribd.com/doc/37355628/Recaro-Repair-Guide Edited by fillit, Aug 3 2011, 04:39 AM.
