Well lads just a post to see what kind of speakers are being used
I'm buying new 6.5inch speakers for my doors so any recommendations?
Currently using Kicker KS 6x9s with 13inch Sub and zx.200 amp not 2 bad but would love louder.
My Sony head unit lets the speakers down big time

im running a kenwood headunit, which is actually my mates 'emergency' HU (should really give it back to him) , Carrzonie (i think they are pioneers anyway) 6x9 in the rear, and standard front door speakers. Sound is adequate - loud enough but the front is letting the side down big time, cant really hear them at all as the 6x9 drowns them completely.

my girlfriend actually bought me a new Pioneer HU for chirstmas which takes SD cards / external mp3 players etc, which is what i wanted so i can get rid of all the CDs flying about the glove compartment - i must've destroyed £100s worth of CDs over the year!! but unfortunatly that HU was at home when the house got flooded whilst we were away for christmas, so that got binned.

would you use tweaters as well with your 6.5" door speakers?

I've got the uprated Super Live Sound system that was factory installed and an Alpine CD/MP3 player. Incredible sound to be honest

The standard speakers aren't too bad I would agree with that BUT you have to remember how old they are! My Levin had uprated rear speakers when I bought it but standard fronts, I changed the front's for a pair of Pioneer speakers and the difference was AMAZING!!!!
