Can some one please tell me which is the REAL filler bolt on the c160 gear box.

Is it the bolt with the allen key head or the regular bolt on front right hand side of the gear box?

i always thougjht it was the allen key bolt. But im seeing on this forum some one unsing the other bolt more to the right hand side of the gearbox.

What would happen if you were to fill it from say the bolt next to the reverse switch?

Now in your pic there is a bolt, but in my car in that very same position is a plug with an allen key head like in the picture in the attachment in my first post.

Is your car c56?

I am getting info on the web that the filler position on the c56 and c160 is different. By this i mean where the c56 has a bolt the c160 has a plug with an allen key head. The new filler hole is supposed to be the bolt to the right of the front of the gearbox.

Any other comments?

What do you all gather from this pic?

ok good thats the same post i saw earlier today. Cause till this day i was using the allen key bolt as the filler hole.

So i gonna change gearbox oil soon and i wanna know sumtin:

i have been using RED LINE MT-90 gearbox oil about 3 yrs now with no real issues. Do i need to add any additive for the LSD ?

I chose the MT-90 cuse its additives wont eat into my fragile syncros.
I believe the c160 has brass syncros right?

What would you gys reccommend?

Based on your pic there are two filler holes. One on the side and the other at the top. Both have the same part number for bolt and gasket.
