Sr4s are slightly wider and the sr3s already look like a tight fit, so just worried whether they will physically fit or not, might give tax a pm |

Hahaha lol would it affect the slider on the pssenget side? I know it would probably end up being harder for people to get in or out but they can deal with it, but so long as its still functioning then I'm fine |

Related question - Would SR4's fit onto an AE111 OEM style Recaro rail (i.e. part #'s 1080.030.1/2 or 2080.030.1/2)? So the rails that were originally use to mount SR3's. In NZ would they require a cert? I read the cert stuff, but it seems to suggest that so long as you only need to use bolts to fit them and all of it is from a reputable manufacturer, then it's all good. |

In all honesty it's going to come down to who ever you talk to aye. I've been told two different stories (from different WOF guys). As long as it's all installed properly and safely I can't see an issue - then you just have to play your luck come WOF time. Mine passed with the fixed back Recaro SPG - inspectors comment was the recliner "was less dodgey" lol |

In regards to a nz cert, unless your w.o.f guy has no clue about the factory setup of the ae111 you will need a cert. Fitting aftermarket rails means changing the seat belt anchorage from factory, and you cant have a seatbelt fitted to a seat rail anymore unless its o.e.m. Or if the rail manufacturer has proven data which shows that their rails are safe to fit a sealbelt to (which f.y.i recaro and bride dont have). In which case you need a reinforcement plate to fit the seatbelt and it has to be a 7/16 unf bolt to mount it. However the ae111 has a strange seatbelt set up and the seatbelt will most likely be deemed an interference in which case you have to fit an adapter plate of 3mm thickness between the rail amd chassis and rethread the original mount to 7/16 unf. I just got my cert for seats and its a lot of work to do so make sure you are able to do it all.

Thanks for the heads up there. I'm still keen to figure it out, I might have to trouble you for a bit more info on your setup at some point. What are your thoughts regarding the OEM-supplied AE111 Recaro rails? They were factory-fitted to AE111's, and should(?) count as OEM equipment, I would have thought. Does anyone who has the OEM rails in their car know the parts numbers? They'd be the separate rails that were used to mount SR3's from factory. They shouldn't be numbers 1080.030.1(2) or 2080.030.1(2) as far as I can tell. Really appreciate all the helpful advice people! |

Ive got bride low max's on kw rails so a bit different to what youre looking at in terms of legality. Its a hard one to say with the ae111 recaros. In regards to lvvta im sure you wouldnt have to worry about certification, but the same cant be said when it comes to alot of w.o.f stations and of course the police. Im not sure how in depth the spec sheet would be on your car, but getting stuff certified definitely gives you peace of mind, especially if your car draws alot of attention from the police, and getting through come w.o.f time |

Thanks for the response again D.A. Does anyone have the part number for the OEM-fitment Recaro rails? Just wanting to know if it was ever a different number from the number that was applied to aftermarket-fitment Recaro rails. Thanks in advance! |
