Well i did a diagnostics check on the car today as it is not running the best and i got codes :

21 - Oxygen sensor
25 - Air / Fuel ratio lean

Would the oxygen sensor alone fix this possibly ? Opinions and thoughts much appreciated. :D

She is hesitant and spluttery right up to 4,500 - 5,000.... had a look underneath and the 02 sensor is just tucked up under the heat shield !!!!!! So this defo needs addressing :) Had a look on the exhaust and there is no where for it to screw into.

Thought the plugs were lean looking when i changed them.

You sure that's not the cat temp sensor tucked under the heat shield?

Do you have stock exhaust system? Look just before where the cat would be on the right hand side.

Did you have Engine management light on for these or did you just decde to check yourself?
I changed my 02 sensor recently and all jokes aside its fit for the bin since cant even drive the car but have no lights on dash

@ Frax : Hmmm suppose it could be!!!! will need to get the car up on axle stands and look properly.

@ Ikenty : The exhaust system is made up of the following parts :

1. Standard manifold

2. Catalytic converter with NO PLACE to bolt anything into even cat temp sensor now i think of it....!!!

3. TRD cat back exhaust

@ Taz-20v : No ENGINE CHECK lights were present i just decided to do a diagnostic out of curiousity and it threw out CODES 21 & 25. What 02 sensor did you put into your car??? is it running worse since you changed it ????

the o2 sensor bolts into the manifold just before the cat. so i recon that sensor your looking at is the cat temp sensor. no need to worry about it.

Cheers for the info Parrot :) :) Think i'll get in on the group buy for the new 02 sensor as it will be handy have. I have noticed that most of the trouble seems to be when the car is under load so will start to check the usual suspects over the coming days. Fun fun fun just when i thought i was getting ready for the hand over :D :D :D

The cat must have been changed at some stage as the cat temp sensor is only on some of them, not all

Just change the sensor should do the trick, they're pricy enough new I think

@ smurph6555 : Ya o2 sensors from toyota are big money will be going in on the group buy that is on here. I figured changing o2 would be a good place to start and go from there.
